Household hazardous waste
Low-level hazardous waste (including computers, car batteries, paint, some engine oils) permanently accepted at Ferny Grove Transfer Station.

Collected every three months for households. Dates and times announced in local paper. Household hazardous waste collection. Up to 20 litres for each chemical/product.  Take to the Transfer Station. Floor care products, metal polish with solvent, paintbrush cleaner with solvent, glue (solvent based), glue (water based), rust remover, fungicide, insecticide, herbicides, weedkillers, car batteries, brake fluid, petrol and marine fluid, artist paint/mediums, dry-cleaning solvents, fibreglass resins, gas cylinders (BBQ size), swimming pool chemicals, photographic chemicals, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers.
